Youth & Young Farmers - Scholarships
The GROWMARK System is committed to continued education in
the field of agriculture business. Since 1960, we have
sponsored agriculture and accounting scholarships at several
Midwest universities. Today we support more than 30
scholarships at 12 universities and four colleges in the
Midwest and Ontario. In addition, we sponsor six
scholarships through the State FFA Foundation to students studying
agriculture in local community colleges.
Each school is responsible for the selection process and
awarding the scholarships. GROWMARK specifies the students be
juniors or seniors enrolled in an approved curriculum. We
sponsor one Jonathon Baldwin Turner scholarship at the
University of Illinois, which is awarded to a freshman.
GROWMARK provides funds to deserving high school seniors who have applied to agriculture
programs at community colleges in Illinois or Iowa, or at
vocational schools in Wisconsin. Students must be sons or
daughters of patrons or employees of the FS/GROWMARK System.
Scholarship applications are available through local FFA
advisors in December and are generally due in mid-February.
