The Energy Specialist is a key resource person for both
farm and commercial accounts. Their goal is to provide
current technical information and quality products to our
customers to help their operations achieve maximum economic
return.
Responsibilities of the Energy Specialist:
- The Energy Specialist meets regularly with customers
to provide technical information, identify and solve
problems, and make product recommendations. The Energy
Specialist also spends time cultivating new
relationships with prospective customers and acquiring
new business. In this dynamic and changing sales
environment, the Energy Specialist will spend a
considerable amount of time on the customer/prospect
business site. This important sales position offers an
opportunity to interact with a wide variety of business
segments. This person may conduct business on farms, at
construction sites, with trucking firms, at corporate
offices with purchasing/operations managers, or other
situations.
Some of the duties of the Energy Specialist include:
- Makes recommendations for correct machinery
lubrication and fueling
sells the products and services provided by the
cooperative
- Provides excellent customer service and partnering
with customers and prospects
conducts sales interviews and manages a customer
database system
- Gains a thorough understanding of the customer's
business objectives and creates a business
- Relationship between the customer and the Member
Cooperative to help achieve these
- Stays current on technological advances and new
management ideas
